01 Interaction with psilocybin

ND

It may add to psilocybin's serotonin effects and blood pressure rise (not studied with psilocybin); a dose from the day before may linger.

Detail Frovatriptan may add to psilocybin's serotonin-boosting effects and brief blood pressure rise; there are no psilocybin data. With a half-life of about 26 hours, a dose taken the day before may still be present. It is a long-acting triptan (5-HT1B/1D agonist) that narrows blood vessels. Its label reports serotonin syndrome with SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs and MAO inhibitors. Its label also reports rare significant blood pressure elevation, including hypertensive crisis (a dangerous spike). 02 Pharmacology relevant to psilocybin

2 listed · counted on reports
Raises blood pressure or heart rate
Raises blood pressure or heart rate. Psilocybin raises both for several hours, so the effects can add. Sources [1]
Serotonergic
Increases serotonin activity, for example by blocking its reuptake or releasing it. Psilocybin acts on serotonin receptors, so effects can add together. With antidepressant use, the psilocybin response can be weaker. Sources [1]
