01 Interaction with psilocybin

ND

Not studied with psilocybin, and no mechanism linking them has been described. Also, untreated overactive thyroid raises heart rate and blood pressure.

Detail Methimazole has not been studied with psilocybin and has no known pharmacologic interaction. Untreated or undertreated hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) raises heart rate and blood pressure, as psilocybin does briefly. Separately, its label warns of agranulocytosis (very low white blood cells) and liver toxicity.
